dance360

The dance360-school teaching tool was developed on the basis of an analysis conducted by Zurich City Council's centre of excellence for physical education ("Kompetenzzentrum Sportunterricht – KOS"). The following findings were derived from the analysis:

From the four areas of movement culture – sport, play, health and expression – teachers consider the area of expressive culture to be the most demanding in terms of implementation into everyday school life.

If the area of expressive culture is to be lived out in schools and, in particular, if pupils are to dance more, then teachers need practice-oriented support and the possibility of enhancing their own personal skills.

The dance360-school teaching tool has now created the ideal conditions to continue developing the area of expressive culture over the coming years. First and foremost, it helps teaching staff to teach dance styles, diverse moves and playful choreographies for various levels of ability. The teaching tool can, however, also be used by interested pupils directly. Those wishing to learn above and beyond the curriculum can pick up cool moves via the interactive user interface or create their own dance combinations with the personal playlist. Generally the teaching tool is available to anyone wishing to use it for non-commercial teaching purposes.
